It’s that time of the year! The sun is shining. The birds are chirping. The weather is getting warmer. Everyone is coming out of hibernation and looking for things to do outdoors. I swear once the weather has been getting nicer, I’ve been spending my weekends outside (something I haven’t done since I was a kid).
This weekends adventure was strawberry picking at Rowand’s Farm. This was the first time we’ve gone any kind of fruit picking together. We didn’t stay long because it was a bit hot and we were not in the right attire. It was a fun experience though! Looking around, there were a lot of families enjoying themselves. It was the perfect place for kids to run around and burn off some energy.
My parents filled up their baskets pretty fast, it took me a bit longer because I was trying to find only the perfect strawberries.
As for taste, these strawberries are so sweet, absolutely delicious! We went home with three baskets (plenty for my family!). Our plan is to make chocolate covered strawberries, but that’s if we don’t finish what we have first. They’re too good to wait.
I definitely plan to go back and include cherry picking. The only reason we didn’t go this time was because cherry picking has not started yet. We are planning to go next week, so stay tuned!
